Villa Maria Wine Estates incorporates Villa Maria Estate, Vidal Estate, Esk Valley and Thornbury wines. We have earned a reputation for quality and innovation that sees our product in the hands of consumers in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Why are we recruiting?
Unlike many other New Zealand wine companies, we have had no redundancies in the past year! Some of these roles are new, some are replacing staff we have farewelled on to new positions, or promoted offshore. All of these roles have been scoped as part of the strategy to deliver on our vision. In celebrating our 50th vintage this year, we are positioning ourselves for the next 50 years of delivering New Zealand’s most awarded wines.

What do we do?
Wine Experience Representative
Just over a year ago, we reviewed the way we promote our wines “in-store”. We already had a large number of people that would conduct tastings, merchandise stock and assist us with events. What we saw was an opportunity to better build relationships with our customers (store owners and category managers), and of course our consumers (the people drinking our wine). We also wanted to provide a more consistent approach to representing our brand and our product. What resulted was the new position of Wine Experience Representative. Wine Experience Representatives are exactly that, people that deliver wine experiences and represent our values, culture, passion, innovation, creativity and quality – all in a 750ml bottle! - Greg Macdonald, HR Manager
