Accommodation

  • While Villa Maria does not provide accommodation, we can assist Vintage staff in finding suitable accommodation if required

  • Whilst it is advisable to have your own transport, we often find that the generosity of the local staff and other people with cars provides a network for car-pooling within each shift

Meals, Perks, and Parties

  • Before starting, there is a group barbeque so everyone can meet each other
  • Villa Maria provides a cooked meal every day you’re at work, on the commencement of 12 hour shifts
  • Wireless internet is available on-site, for use before and after shifts
  • To celebrate Vintage, there’s a party on-site during May

Induction and Training

  • Experienced Cellarhands are teamed with those with less experience, and you work as a team until the supervisor feels you are capable of working on your own
  • On your first day, we have winery induction with you going over winery rules, Health and Safety and ensure you have the right safety gear

Other Support

  • Villa Maria can provide support in applying for a New Zealand IRD (tax) number and bank account, and help with the necessary paperwork for tax and immigration requirements
  • A certificate of service can be provided on request
