Classically Hawkes Bay in style this Chardonnay reveals a fragrant nose of grilled peach and nectarine stone fruit, with complexing cashew characters from subtle French oak. A silken textured mouth feel unfolds with layers of fruit and delicate oak spice, subtle mealy flavours and wonderful acidity.
The 2013 Hawkes Bay vintage was regarded as superb, with warm and dry conditions throughout the season enabling fruit to be harvested at optimum ripeness and in pristine condition. Clones Mendoza, 95 and cl15 feature.
A classic match with most white meats, rich seafood dishes, cheese and salads. Also highly enjoyable on its own.
