Vineyard & Winemaking
The vineyards that provide the fruit for this wine are situated in both the Awatere and Wairau valleys of Marlborough. Expert vineyard manipulation such as shoot thinning and leaf plucking along with focused attention to vine health has provided optimum flavours at harvest. Fruit was predominantly handpicked from each individual site, which involved specifically selecting small parcels to represent their unique location and profile. Whole bunch pressing and fermentation techniques allowed the final wine to retain it's delicate fruit and floral notes.
The wine displays perfumed aromas of citrus, mandarin, white flowers and grapefruit with an underlying wet stone minerality. The palate is delicate, displaying concentrated lemon and lime tones with a perfect balance between concentrated fruit and fine acidity in a dry style. Great with fresh summer salads or Thai/Asian inspired dishes.
