The fruit for this wine comes from a mix of vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau valleys of Marlborough. Careful attention is paid to vine health and balance by way of careful yield manipulation, balanced nutrition and fruit condition.
Intense, pure and alluring aromas of fresh lemon, orange blossom and seductive floral perfumes characterise the bouquet. The palate has fresh, youthful citrus flavours and subtle spicy tones. The fermentation was stopped just prior to dryness to achieve natural balance. The classical structure is refined with hints of minerality and a tight yet harmonious palate, finishing with an underpinning crisp, pure and chalky acidity.
This wine can be enjoyed now, or with careful cellaring will develop in complexity up to ten years from vintage.
